The house was built in the 40s, it is completely renovated (creations of suites, electricity, plumbing, creation of decks and pool, paintings ...) and decorated by the English architect Elizabeth Crocker in 2014. It has also just undergone a new renovation, in 2022.

The house is operated as a pousada but the new owner can do something else with it (the house was the headquarters of a film production company for example).

The house was also operated as a Rio clubhouse (members club) between 2014 and 2018. New Guesthouse type operation since February 2018.
